2000s - 2010

Early 2000s – Levitt-Safety begins expanding into global markets through innovation in mining lamps and becomes one of the top suppliers of mining lamps in multiple international markets.

2003 - Levitt-Safety responds to the SARS outbreak and introduces the Pleats Plus N95 mask to healthcare clients for the first time.

2005 

  • Looking to promote the safety culture within his company further and share it with others, Bruce Levitt becomes a founding member of the CEO Health & Safety Leadership Charter. 
  • Levitt-Safety Training and Consulting services are launched. These recognize the need for quality safety consulting and that safety equipment is only effective when the recipient receives adequate training. 
  • NLT establishes a new division in Australia to promote products in that market and expand our footprint in the mining marketplace for digital solutions.

2006 

  • Victor’s daughter Heidi Levitt is named President of SEDA – Safety Equipment Distributors Association, where she would implement multiple new initiatives and expand this[PB1]  important organization. 
  • Levitt-Safety joins Affiliated Distributors Marketing and Buying group.
  • Levitt-Safety acquires Fire Code Plus in BC's lower mainland, expanding capability for commercial fire protection services.
  • 2007 

    • Heidi Levitt becomes the president of Levitt-Safety's sister company, NL Technologies, pushing the company into exciting new directions, including miner communication and protection.
    • Levitt-Safety acquires a Medical Device Establishment License from Health Canada, that opens up new possibilities for importing and manufacturing devices.

    2008 – NLT launches the Polaris mining cap lamp and is recognized as the first MSHA-approved cordless cap lamp.

    2009 – The Levitt-Safety's ILS Division launches to manage large long-term government maintenance projects to support the sale of instruments. 

    • Levitt-Safety holds its first Habitat for Humanity Build Day.
