1960s - 70s

1966 – The precursor to Levitt Fire Protection Systems sells its first dry chemical fire protection system. This division would become industry-renowned for its capabilities and product knowledge.

1967 – Levitt-Safety procures a new building at 33 Laird Drive in Toronto, Ontario – an address it would hold for twenty-three years.

1970 – A true nationwide safety distribution network is complete with Levitt-Safety's Eastern distribution hub opening in Moncton, New Brunswick. Branches in Sarnia and Thunder Bay open shortly thereafter. 

1973 – In response to an increasing awareness of environmental issues, Levitt-Safety partners with Gastec of Tokyo, Japan, to supply a line of gas detection equipment. Levitt-Safety has become a key player in Canada's gas detection and industrial hygiene market.
