Colorimetric gas detector tubes safely allow users to test for the presence of hazardous and toxic gases, and chemical vapours. Gastec tubes can be used to measure hundreds of gases – view our complete tube listing here. The Gastec pump system is easy to use, requires little training and can be used in conjunction with digital monitors for an enhanced gas detection solution. Detector tubes allow for accurate results and are a low cost method for routine or spot sampling of gases and vapours.

Gastec gas detector tubes are pre-calibrated with distinct demarcation lines for easier reading. They do not need interpretation, dual scales or colour charts.
The tubes can measure even trace levels of contaminants thanks to multiple detection limits for many chemicals.
Gastec’s higher maximum detection limits provide a more accurate contamination measurement. The tubes offer the broadest operating temperature range available and can be used in any environment from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).

Note for most Gastec detector tubes: If the colour change layer exceeds or doesn’t meet the calibration scale when measuring with standard sample volumes, you can measure the concentrations outside the calibration scale by changing the sample volume.
