Last Friday we headed to the Lionhead Golf & Country Club in Brampton, Ont. for our annual Customer Appreciation Tradeshow and Golf Tournament. What started as an employee-only, fun day out of the office about 20 years ago, has evolved into so much more. This much-anticipated event now brings our staff, manufacturers and customers together to learn what’s new in safety, network and (of course) get a little competitive on the green. Lucky for us, the weather this year was perfect and we had a fantastic turnout.

This year’s theme was “safety superheroes” which couldn’t have been more fitting; every participant came ready to show off their safety superpowers on both the tradeshow floor and the golf course.

The day started bright and early at 8:30 a.m. 14 of our vendors set up booths to showcase their products before we headed out to the golf course after lunch – making the day a perfect mix of business and pleasure. In mixed teams of customers, supplier partners and Levitt-Safety reps, the foursomes played a full round of golf on the Masters’ Course. Throughout the course, we had prizes for longest drive (men’s and ladies), closest to the pin and a grand prize of $10,000 for a hole-in-one.

After the game, we had a post-tournament dinner and awards banquet for the players, where we raffled off a ton of great prizes from the tickets that had been purchased throughout the day. Proceeds from the raffle went to Threads of Life, an organization dedicated to supporting victims and family members who have suffered from workplace tragedies. Their mission aligns with our “home safe always” philosophy and we’re so proud to have partnered with them for the past decade. We’re pleased to share that this year we raised $3,000 to support their cause.
